Man stoned and beaten by protesters

The man was on his way to work when the attack occurred.

PARAMEDICS are treating a man believed to be in his 50s after he was mobbed by violent protesters on North Coast Road. According to Kyle van Reenen of Marshall Security, the man was walking to work when he was attacked.

“They began stoning him and then began kicking him on the floor. He sustained cuts to his back and head and is in a moderate condition following the attack. He is currently being treated by Netcare 911 paramedics. Protesters have blocked parts of North Coast Road and motorists are urged to avoid the area. They even set a car dealership on fire,” he said.
