Lace up for Umhlanga Trail Run

More than 500 trail runners and walkers are expected to take part in the annual event.

ENTRIES are open for the popular Umhlanga Winter Trail Run and Walk. Pre-entries will close at midnight, 30 June on the Race Organisers Admin Group (ROAG ) website. Late entries will still be taken at the start from 5.30am at an additional R20.

At 6.30am, more than 500 trail runners and walkers will set off from the Millennium Stage on the Umhlanga Promenade for distances of 18km 12km and 5km.

Race director, Vaughn Smit, has confirmed that there will be a refreshment table at the 7km mark and the usual hydration table at the finish.

Cash prizes will be given to the runners in the top three positions in all three races.
