Protesters return on N2, stone cars

Police have urged motorists to avoid the N2.

PROTESTERS have once blocked parts of the N2 highway going south just after Spaghetti Junction near the M7. Several protesters have blocked the road with burning tyres and reports are coming in of cars being stoned. Vehicles are turning around on the freeway to avoid the area confirmed Craig Adendorff of Sun Cell Watch who said he has received several calls from motorists.

Metro Police are currently on scene. Traffic has begun to back up as far as the Clare Estate Bridge. On Sunday protesters caused similar problems blocking off all four lanes of the N2.
