Domestic worker left traumatised by armed robbers

Another domestic worker attacked after house robbery in La Lucia.

THREE armed men who forced their way into a house in La Lucia have not only ransacked the house but left the domestic worker ‘severely traumatised’.

The attack, according to Marshall Security’s Kyle Van Reenen happened at about 2pm on Tuesday afternoon.

While details as to what happened are still sketchy at this point, Van Reenen said, “Armed Reaction officers were dispatched to the scene and on further investigation it was ascertained that thee suspects forced open the drive way gate to the premises, and entered the home. The domestic worker who was in the house at the time, was confined to a room while the men ransacked the home, making off with electronic equipment before fleeing in an unknown direction.”

He added that the Durban North Umhlanga Crisis Team was called in to assist the domestic worker and that the matter has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
