Three car pile-up on N2

Traffic was severely affected after three cars collided just past the Queen Nandi Drive.

A DRIVER believed to be in his 70s was injured after three cars collided on the N2 southbound just after the Queen Nandi Drive on Wednesday afternoon. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, traffic has been severely affected going towards the city.

“It’s unclear what caused the accident but one of the drivers involved in the pile-up was injured in the three car pile-up. Two of the vehicles spun off the road from the impact and between the barriers.

Last year, uMhlanga councillor, Heinz de Boer, expressed concern about the number of accidents on this stretch of road. According to the RTI fatalities on this stretch of road were at an all time high.
