Durban comedy circuit hots up
The shows forms part of Durban Comedy Week held monthly towards the end of every month.
FOUR shows will hit the Durban comedy circuit from Wednesday, 26 to Friday, 28 October. The shows that form part of the Durban Comedy Week for the month of October, will feature some of South Africa’s hottest comedians sharing the stage with Durban’s best acts.
This month, back by popular demand, award-winning ex-Durbanite, John Vlismas will have you in stitches. Vlismas is one of South Africa’s most creative, prolific and well-known international comedians.
Funnyman Dalin Oliver on tour from Cape Town who is best is best known for his one-man show, ‘I Came, I Taught, I Left’ will also wind you up. The ex-high-school teacher’s clean-cut energetic brand of comedy has captured audiences around the country.
Virgil Prins, Napsta and American comic, Jessica Michelle Singleton will also perform. They will all be sharing the comedy stage with some of Durban’s funniest local acts that include, Darryl Williams, Mo Vawda and Jem Atkins.
The hysterics kick off at Butlers Restaurant (24 Old Main Rd, Hillcrest) then move to the Amsterdam Comedy Club in Glenwood and New York Comedy Club in Morningside. The final show takes place on Friday, 28 October at the Umhlali Country Club situated at 1 Compensation Road, Umhlali.
