Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash

The driver of a white VW Polo is said to have fled the scene shortly after the accident.

A MAN was killed after he was struck by a car on the R102 in Mount Edgecombe on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Reaction Unit South Africa, the pedestrian sustained life threatening injuries. Paramedics declared him dead at the scene.

Eye witnesses claim that the deceased was struck by a white VW Polo. The driver allegedly fled the scene.
