Car crashes into Glen Hills home

Woman (19) injured in freak crash.

A Glenhills family was fortunate to escape unharmed when a vehicle crashed through their boundary wall and landed on the roof.

Marshall Securitys Kyle van Reenen said a driver lost control of her vehicle on Begonia Road and collided through the wall.

“The 19-year old driver lost control of her vehicle, causing it to drive off the road, smash through the boundary wall and roll down an embankment, coming to rest on the roof of the home,” he said.

The driver was carefully extricated from the vehicle before being placed onto a specialised stretcher for the prevention of neck and spinal cord injuries,” van Reenen said.

Once stabilised at the scene, the driver was rushed to a nearby hospital by Netcare 911 medics.
