Beyrick ready for uMhlanga surf festival

uMhlanga's Beyrick de Vries has been doing a lot of traveling this year and is making sure that he is back to take part in the contest.

ENTRIES are pouring in for the popular December surfing event the Lizzard Hurricane Summer Surf. The competition will be held at Umhlanga Main Beach on 10 and 11 December. The contest is sanctioned by Surfing South Africa (SSA) and will be the opening event of this year’s Umhlanga Summer Festival.

uMhlanga’s Beyrick de Vries has been doing a lot of traveling this year and is making sure that he is back to take part in the contest.

“The last couple of years I have missed this contest because I have always been away in Hawaii but this year I will be home and I am stoked to take part. Surfing at home with my friends at my local beach is always the best.

“My favourite is the Just Juice Tag event where my Wave Wizards Surf club take on the other KZN clubs. It is very competitive and we don’t like losing,” said Beyrick.
