WATCH: Epic footage of humpback whale pod in CT

Pod of 60 whales filmed in all it's magnificence from a drone.

AN amazing video showing a pod of 60 humpback whales off the coast of Lion’s Head has gone viral on social media. The video which would make Planet Earth II producers envious was filmed by photographer and drone pilot, Kieran Donnelly. The footage which was uploaded to his YouTube account has already amassed more than 50 000 views.

The whales were seen frolicking off the shoreline. In his description on the channel, Donnelly wrote “On November 26, 2016 I captured some incredible footage of a pod of at least 60 humpback whales migrating south past Cape Town.”

Some have suggested the whales were feeding on krill.
