Carols by candlelight to light up uMhlanga

The event is free and will take place on Thursday, 15 December.

THE annual al-fresco uMhlanga Carols by Candlelight, takes place at the Granada Square in uMhlanga Rocks on Thursday, 15 December. The concert is co-ordinated by Shelley McLean and Leigh Meyer, and hosted by the charming Katy Moore with vocalist, Haylea Hounsom performing as the guest soloist.

Chairman of the uMhlanga Tourism Committee, Peter Rose said, “Being a part of a Carols Concert always is an uplifting way to start the festive season. Hearing and singing the good old songs certainly makes you reminisce about all the fabulous Christmases of years gone by, and of course, anticipate the one ahead.”

Father Christmas will be arriving in style riding on the back of a shiny Harley Davidson. Carollers are invited to bring a toy that will be gifted to an under privileged child coordinated by uMhlanga Rotary.

The event is free to attend and starts at 6.45pm. Parents are invited to bring along their children from 6pm for pre-concert entertainment in the square.
