Suspects storm uMhlanga home

The suspects derailed the gate to gain access to the home.

THREE suspects held up an uMhlanga couple this morning in a house robbery on Lagoon Drive. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the suspects stormed the home at about 6.30am.

“The suspects gained entry into the complex by forcing open the electric gates. The men stormed the apartment, held up a husband and wife and stole cell phones and a laptop, before fleeing the scene in a getaway vehicle,” he said.

Van Reenen said in a separate incident, a resident in a complex was also robbed.

“The resident who lived in a complex in Marine Drive, said an unknown number of suspects had gained entry into his seventh floor apartment. They stole a laptop, a cell phone and a pair of sneakers. It is unknown at this stage if the two incidents are linked,” he said.
