Firefighters still battling West Street blaze

No injuries have been reported at this stage.

FIREFIGHTERS are still battling a blaze in the CBD, this after a fire broke out on the 25th floor of 320 West Street. According to Garrith Jamieson of Rescue Care Paramedics, there have been no injuries reported.

“Paramedics as well as the Durban Fire Department and Metro Police are currently on the scene of a building on fire at 320 West Street in Durban Central. At this stage firefighters are still trying to contain the blaze. Paramedics are on standby however no injuries have been reported as yet.” he said.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the blaze.
