Midmar Mile entries open

The event is listed in the Guinness World Records as the world’s largest open-water swim.

ENTRIES for the 2017 aQuellé Midmar Mile are now open at www.midmarmile.co.za. The race will take place 11-12 February 2017.

Based on the interest already shown on the Mile’s Facebook page and Twitter handle, the organisers are expecting a bumper event. The team proved conclusively in 2016 that a fun, safe and exhilarating course can be constructed despite the prevailing drought conditions.

“Get your entry in and start training,” said race director Wayne Riddin. “The more prepared you are, the better your finish time will be and the more fun you will have.”

Highlights from last year’s race

The event has become a highly anticipated milestone on the sporting calendar and is listed in the Guinness World Records as the world’s largest open-water swim.

If you would like to purchase a souvenir of your Mile, a T-shirt and towel combo pack can be purchased with your entry at www.midmarmile.co.za.
