uMgeni Park assault victim recovering

A cell phone and wallet was taken in the break-in.

THE 68-year-old woman who was brutally assaulted in a break-in in uMgeni Park is recovering and ‘doing well’ according to paramedics. Neil Powell, Crisis Medical spokesman, shared the news with the Northglen News this afternoon. The Sylvania Place resident was in a serious condition after a brutal assault but is

“She is doing okay, thankfully her skull isn’t fractured as initially thought,” he said.

Police are still uncertain as to the number of suspects involved in the break-in. All that was taken was a cell phone and wallet. W/O Leon Audh, spokesman for the Greenwood Park SAPS said he would be in contact with the CPF about a meeting to address the crime rate in the uMgeni area.

The resident was found by her son who alerted emergency personnel.

In November last year, Dr  Vajnah Banoo Mahomed who was brutally murdered in her uMgeni Park home. The 63-year-old’s decomposed body was found by a neighbour at her Browns Drift Road home.
