14 injured in M4 accident

It is unclear what caused the accident.

A TOTAL of 14 people were injured after a taxi collided with a truck on the M4 near the La Lucia off-ramp earlier this morning. The accident occurred just after 9.30am confirmed Netcare 911 spokesman, Athlenda Mathe.
“The cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment. Fourteen people who were in the taxi sustained minor injuries. All those injured were stabilised on scene and transported to various hospitals in the area,” she said.
The accident comes a week after a driver was killed in a horrific head-on collision on the same stretch of road.  There have been renewed calls for more police presence on the M4.
