WATCH: Drone footage of damaged beachfront

Dramatic footage shows aftermath of large swells which battered Durban's shoreline.

FOLLOWING the large swells that closed Durban’s North Beach, more footage has emerged of the storm including incredible images captured by a drone. The footage was posted on the What’s on Durban Facebook page and shows the City busy with its clean-up operation and the damage done to the promenade. The footage was captured by @rotophoto_za.

Durban’s North Beach wasn’t the only one to experience large swells, uMhlanga Beach was also affected. It’s believed that the large swells were as a result of Cyclone Enawo – which battered the coast of Madagascar this week.

Another video captured from a building along the beachfront also shows the waves coming as far as the parking lot.
