Armed gang storm Springfield Park business

The armed gang allegedly robbed a cell phone shop.

AN armed gang of six robbers held up a business premises in Intersite Avenue in Springfield Park earlier this morning. According to Capt Myen Lazarus, spokesman for the Sydenham SAPS, the six suspects locked the staff of the business up in one of the rooms. The armed gang allegedly robbed a cell phone shop.

It’s understood one of the gang members was wearing a police reflector jacket.

“The six men were armed and robbed a security guard of his shotgun. An undisclosed amount of money was taken in the robbery. The gang locked the staff up in one of the rooms before fleeing the scene,” he said.
