WATCH: Python gorges itself on hyena

The video, which was uploaded to YouTube has been watched more than 166 000 times.

A TOURIST in Kenya found himself filming an incredible scene at the Masai Mara National Reserve after stumbling upon a massive African rock python eating a hyena.

The massive reptiles are known to eat warthogs, large birds and antelopes, but not a hyena. Dutch tourist, Jos Bakker came across the python gorging itself on the scavenger on the side of the road.

It’s a common misconception that snakes dislocate their jaws, according to herpetologists their jaws aren’t connected the way ours are. They have really stretchy ligaments that determine how wide the mouth can open.
