A MAN has died after a horrific accident on Fairway in the early hours of Sunday morning. According to Blue Security’s Andreas Mathios, the car reportedly collided with a tree before bursting into flames.

“The accident occurred on Fairway and it’s unclear what the incident unfolded but firefighters were called to the scene. After putting out the flames, they found the charred remains of the driver. At this moment police are investigating the incident,” he said.

According to Captain Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS, an inquest docket has been opened.  The victim, a La Lucia resident was 23-years-old.
