Elderly Greenwood Park resident assaulted in robbery

The suspects made off with a number of items including a TV, a laptop and other goods.

AN elderly resident was assaulted by two men who broke into her home on Leven Place in Greenwood Park on Friday afternoon. It’s believed the suspects jumped over the main wall before gaining access through the front door of the home. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred just after 3pm.

“The elderly homeowner was home alone at the time when the incident occurred. The men stormed the home and assaulted the elderly woman. They made off with a laptop, her handbag, and a  TV. The suspects fled in an unknown direction. The homeowner was traumatised by the incident but escaped serious injury,” he said.
