WITH news of a large south westerly system sure to bring rain and cold weather this weekend, the organisers of the CPF Nite Race have taken the decision to postpone the event. The system is expected to hit Durban for the next three to four days.

“The weather forecast is looking miserable with rain and high winds for Friday. We have taken a decision to postpone the CPF Nite Run/Walk to Friday 9 June. Those that have pre-entered and paid will be able to use that for 9 June. We regret and apologise for any inconvenience,” he said.

The aim of the series, which sees a race being run for every season, raises crime awareness and funds for the CPF to increase their capacity for night patrols and other activities.
