Eric finishes in top 30 of Comrades Marathon
Ngubane ran an exceptional race to finish in the top 30.
DURBAN North’s Eric ‘Nyamazane’ Ngunbane has finished 30th in this year’s Comrades Marathon. Ngubane had set himself the goal of finishing within the top 20 and ran an exceptional race. Ngubane who runs for the Nedbank Running Club finished in a time of 6:09:27.
Earlier in the day, South African runner Bongmusa Mthembu won the men’s race. Mthembu, from KwaZulu-Natal crossed the finished line in a time of 5:35:33.
Mthembu was followed by Zimbabwean Hatiwande Nyamande who finished second in 5:38:46. Mthembu last won the race in 2014.
