Two injured as bakkie overturns on M4

Traffic was severely affected on both sides of the M4.

TWO people were injured after a delivery vehicle overturned on the M4 Ruth First Highway near the Lighthouse Road on-ramp on Friday afternoon. According to Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen, the accident occurred just after 3.30pm.

“It’s unclear what led to the delivery vehicle overturning but two passengers, a 42-year-old man and a 27-year-old-woman sustained moderate injuries and were attended to on scene before being taken to hospital by Crisis Medical. Traffic was severely affected as rescue workers worked to clear the scene occupying the left hand lane,” he said.
