Armed men storm Durban North home

The suspects were spotted fleeing in a black BMW.

FIVE armed suspects stormed a home on Kenneth Kaunda (Northway) on Saturday afternoon. It is believed the men used a black BMW with GP number plates said Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen.

“The suspects who were armed raided the house on the corner of Kenneth Kaunda (Northway) and Norfolk Place. The homeowner’s 15-year old-son, who was at home at the time, managed to escape and ran down the road to get help,” he said.

According to Sun Cell Watch’s Craig Adendorff, the men derailed the gate as the gardener was about to leave the premises.

“They grabbed the gardener at gunpoint and lead him into the house to where the homeowner’s son was. He fled outside on seeing the armed suspects. Laptops, TV and jewellery was taken in the robbery. Thankfully no shots were fired and no one was injured,” he said.

Durban North SAPS and security companies are still looking for the suspects who remain at large.
