Woman robbed at knifepoint in Rosehill

This is the second armed incident in five days in the area.

JUST days after a woman was sexually assaulted by a naked armed man, another incident has rocked the community of Rosehill. A domestic worker was robbed just before lunchtime on Thursday on Lovat Road by an armed man. Craig Adendorff of Sun Cell Watch, confirmed the incident occurred just after 10am.

“The domestic worker was walking to her employer’s house when she was accosted by a man armed with a knife. He demanded her valuables and made off with her cell phone and handbag. The suspect fled on foot and was spotted wearing jeans and a black hoodie. Unfortunately he managed to get away,” he said.

Adendorff could not say whether the incident of the sexual assault and robbery were linked. He urged residents to encourage domestic workers to walk in groups wherever possible.
