Passengers ejected in N2 rollover

The accident occurred on the N2 just before the Sibaya off-ramp.

SEVEN people were injured after a taxi rolled on the N2 (southbound) just before the Sibaya off-ramp on Sunday night. According to Shawn Herbst, Netcare 911 spokesman, some of the occupants of the taxi were ejected in the accident which occurred at about 7.15pm.

“Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a mini-bus taxi with seven occupants lost control resulting in the taxi rolling several times ejecting some of the passengers. All the patients were treated on scene and transported by various services to hospital for further assessment and care. Necessary authorities were on scene and will investigate further,” he said.

This is the first serious accident since a crash on the M4 Ruth First Highway on Wednesday which left five people injured.
