A 46-year-old attorney has been shot and killed in Saxon Crescent, La Lucia. The incident occurred at approximately 7.40pm on Thursday night.
The motive for the shooting is unknown but according to paramedics and security officials who attended to the scene the man had been shot eight times.
Marshall Security’s Kyle Van Reenen said the man was found seated in a SUV and suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

“Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do to assist the man and he was declared deceased on arrival. The scene was secured and handed over to the SAPS,” said Van Reenen.
Durban North Police spokesman, Capt Raymond Deokaran confirmed that the man was an attorney but said his name could not be released at this stage.
“We are urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward to the police,” he said.
