Revamped Berea Centre set for major relaunch

The newly revamped Berea Centre will open its doors to an exciting shopping experience on Saturday, 3 November.

Situated in the heart of Durban’s Berea with its iconic high rise that has been part of the city’s skyline since first opening its doors in 1972, Berea Centre is one of Durban’s oldest retail landmarks.

When it first opened, Berea Centre boasted two leading supermarket anchor stores, Pick ‘n Pay and what was then known as the OK Bazaars. Over the years the centre has undergone many changes and revamps, all of which have culminated in an exciting re-launch event due to take place on Saturday, 3 November 2018. The massive upgrade and revamp has allowed Berea Centre to reposition itself as a value add centre with a new focus on discount fashion incorporated into the new hashtag #BereaFashionCentral.

The centre also boasts a plethora of new tenants which include the likes of Clicks, Tupperware, Garment Division, Selfast, Berea Home, Jet, Rage and Ackermans will also open its doors in the near future. A new medical centre has also been developed within the centre and offers the services of a dentist, doctor and a clinic is due to open shortly.

Grocery needs are well taken care of by supermarket giants Pick ‘n Pay and Shoprite. And for those looking for a night out away from the kitchen, then pop into the centre for your choice of food outlets. These include KFC, Debonairs, Nando’s, Café Dior, The Meat Joint, with other outlets adding to the variety shortly.   With its convenient location on a bustling transport route Berea Centre has become a well-loved destination for commuters, residents and students alike.
