A 40-year-old man was killed in a horror collision involving three vehicles on the M4 on Thursday afternoon. Paramedics from Netcare 911 as well as Crisis Medical were on scene and treated up to 20 people left injured in the crash.

“The collision involved a minibus taxi and two other vehicles on the M4 near eMdloti this evening. A male driver believed to be approximately forty years of age was found deceased in his vehicle,” explained Crisis Medical spokesman, Kyle van Reenen.

Shawn Herbst of Netcare 911 said the driver was declared deceased on the scene.

“Paramedics treated scores of patients from the mini-bus taxi who sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
Once stabilized all the patients were transported to hospital,” he said.
