Knife-wielding suspects attack security guard in Sunningdale

The incident took place at around 3am today.

A SECURITY guard, working at a residential complex in Sunningdale, was injured this morning when he was attacked by four armed men.

According to the spokesman for Marshall Security, Kyle Van Reenen the incident happened at about 3am on Brookend Close.

Van Reenen said the men were armed with a bush knife when they confronted the onsite security guard.

“A scuffle broke out between the guard and the suspects, with the armed men striking the guard several times, resulting in the man sustaining minor to moderate injuries to his arms and head. A search of the area was conducted however the suspects fled the scene prior to the arrival of armed reaction officers. No entry was gained to any residences.”

The security guard is currently recovering in hospital.
