Early election results reveal growth for VF Plus

In the 2014 elections the party received 0.9 per cent of the votes.

IN an unexpected turn, Freedom Front Plus is showing significant growth in Northern Provinces (Northern Cape, North West and Limpopo).

This emerged as the IEC continues to tally the votes cast yesterday.

The party is currently running as the fourth largest party at 3 per cent of the National vote. They received only 0.9 per cent in 2014.

By late this morning the ANC was leading with 364 232 (50.66 per cent), the DA has 197 580 (27.48 per cent), the EFF has 99 413 (13.83 per cent) and the VF Plus has 26 673 (3.71 per cent).

The Freedom Front Plus or Vryheidsfront Plus in Afrikaans, was formed in 1994 and is led by Pieter Groenewald. Almost 4 million votes have been counted so far.
