Armed men rob uMhlanga home

A domestic worker, who was at home at the time of the robbery, was seriously traumatised in the ordeal.

FIVE armed suspects stormed a home in uMhlanga on Sylvan Grove just before midday on Thursday (16 May 2019).

According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the gang derailed the driveway gate before storming the home.

“A domestic worker, who was present at the time, was confronted and held up at gunpoint while the men ransacked the home, making off with various items of electronic equipment and fleeing in a awaiting getaway vehicle.

“Although seriously traumatised in the ordeal, the domestic worker did not suffer any physical injury. The scene was secured and handed over to the SAPS for further investigation and processing. The suspects remain at large,” he said.
