13 nabbed for drunk driving on M4

Since the beginning of the year, more than 50 people have been arrested for drunk driving.

DURBAN North SAPS have once again urged motorists and residents to heed their warning of drinking and driving. This comes after 13 people were arrested for drunk driving on Friday evening on the M4.

The operation, held by the station in conjunction with Metro Police, has yielded positive results this year with more than 60 people arrested for drunk driving.

Captain Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS, said despite warnings by police, the trend of drunk driving persisted.
