“I’ve got hard work ahead of me of me. Snooker is what I do full time. It’s like a career for me. At some point I want to be like the professionals you see on TV,” he said.

Snooker differs to pool in that it is played on a bigger table with a point system with different coloured balls scoring different points. There is a specific order in which balls must be sunk and a player earns one point for sinking a red ball, two points for a yellow ball and the points go up for the green, brown, blue and pink balls, while the highest score, of seven points attributed to the black ball.

“My highest break in a tournament was 67 points. In practice, it was 105 points,” said Moodley.
He has been playing snooker for five years after taking an interest in the game at the age of 14 when he was introduced to the game by his father, Cuban Moodley who has won over 30 provincial titles himself.
