Delivery motorcyclist dies in uMhlanga following collision

Traffic was severely backed up in the area.

A 34-YEAR-OLD man, who was riding his delivery motorcycle, died after a collision on uMhlanga Rocks Drive this afternoon.

Kyle van Reenen, spokesperson for Emer-G-Med, said its paramedics, together with Netcare911, responded to the scene.

“The man sustained critical injuries. Several advanced life-support intervention methods were used in an attempt to stabilise him, however, the man went into a state of cardiac arrest,” he said.

He added that efforts were made to resuscitate the man, however, they were unable to.

“He was declared dead on the scene, ” said Van Reenen.
