The alleged car thief abandoned the vehicle in KwaMashu.

WHEN a Durban North motorist noticed that his vehicle was stolen, he didn’t realise that his car keys had first been stolen out of his bag.

The motorist contacted Marshall Security, and 20 minutes later, the vehicle was recovered in KwaMashu.

Multiple Armed Response Officers were dispatched to the scene, and details of the stolen vehicle was circulated to all our members to be on the lookout,” said Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.

After establishing that the owner’s keys had been stolen from his bag and that the vehicle was fitted with a tracking device, Tracker SA was alerted.

“Our Special Operations Team and Tracker SA located the vehicle in KwaMashu. The scene was secured and will be investigated further by the SAPS,” said Powell.
