Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said Emer-G-Med paramedics, together with other roleplayers, attended the scene at the intersection of Chris Hani and Victor Roads just after 17h00.
“It was established by scene commanders that sixteen people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious,” he said.
“The driver of the delivery vehicle suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival by paramedics,” added Van Reenen.
The injured were taken to various hospitals after being treated and stabilised on scene.

As a journalist, I am forever the favourer of the underdog. When I am not penning the latest human interest piece, crime or municipal bit, and occasionally a sports update, you can find me in the place I love most – at home with my beautiful family – cooking up a storm, soaking up the sun with a gin and tonic in hand or binge-watching a good series or documentary.
