Vendor spaces open for popular Somerset Park Christmas fair

Vendors are needed at the Ray of Hope Christmas Fair which takes place at the end of November in Somerset Park. All proceeds go to the Ray of Hope Babies Home in Parkhill.

THE sixth annual Ray of Hope Christmas Fair is set to return on November 28 and 29 at the Immanuel Church, with vendor spaces open for booking.

The much-loved indoor market is held in aid of Ray of Hope Babies’ Home, a sanctuary for abandoned babies awaiting adoption or reunification with family.

With the festive season around the corner, the market offers shoppers a one-stop destination for Christmas gifts, year-end thank-you presents, and Secret Santa surprises, all while supporting a meaningful cause.

Organiser and long-time volunteer Sharon Moss told Northglen News that the market is a highlight on the local calendar, drawing strong community support each year.

“The Christmas market extends over two days and is anticipated by the community. It will feature everything from home industry products to arts and crafts, unique gifts, and more. It’s the perfect place to find gifts for teachers, colleagues, or loved ones.”

This year’s market will also feature a book section, stocked with donations collected throughout the year – ideal for gift-giving. A range of crockery and dinnerware items will also be on sale.

“We also have SANBS coming in on the Saturday so anyone wanting to donate blood can come through. Animal Rescue will also bring their puppies so patrons can cuddle and show them love and hopefully some may even be adopted,” she added.

Patrons can expect a festive array of stalls selling Christmas cakes and treats, home-baked goods, clothing, candles, toys, novelty items, table runners, pesto, jams, pickles, juices, and more. Coffee lovers can look forward to a fresh brew from Fiks the Coffee Queen.

Beyond shopping, the market offers a chance to make a real impact.
“By coming to the fair, you’ll be helping a small business and supporting Ray of Hope Babies’ Home. Funds raised from stall bookings go toward medical costs, nappies, school supplies, and other unexpected needs for the children.”

Entry is free on both days. Vendors will be charged a stall fee. The market runs from 14:00 to 19:00 on the Friday and 09:00 to 14:00 on the Saturday.
