Umhlanga attorney among top 30 finalists in beauty pageant
With the finals coming up in November, Bond hopes to continue her work advancing animal rights and partnering with the Rise Up Movement to establish a safe house for victims of gender-based violence and human trafficking.
UMHLANGA-BASED attorney and community activist Sarah Bond has secured a spot in the Top 30 finalists for the Mrs South Africa 2025 pageant, marking a significant milestone in her journey of advocacy, empowerment, and personal growth.

Raised in Durban, Bond has built an impressive career over the past 34 years as an attorney, Notary Public, and director of a law firm.
Alongside her legal work, she has been deeply involved in community initiatives, contributing to organisations such as the Animal Anti-Cruelty League, SPCA, CHOC, and the Rise Up Movement. She also serves as the secretary of the KwaZulu-Natal Family Law Forum and is a committee member of the Animal Anti-Cruelty League.
Since joining the Mrs South Africa programme earlier this year, Bond has participated in a series of workshops, photoshoots, mentoring sessions, and charitable events aimed at equipping participants to drive positive change in their communities.
Her selection as a Top 30 finalist reflects her dedication to using the platform to amplify her advocacy for animal welfare, gender-based violence awareness, and social justice.
“Every act of kindness, big or small, creates a ripple effect and makes an impact,” said Bond.
She is passionate about encouraging compassion for people, animals, and the planet.
Bond has channelled her personal experiences of overcoming childhood cancer, a stroke, domestic violence, and other challenges into a powerful mission of advocacy and empowerment. She credits the Mrs South Africa journey with helping her refine her purpose and realise the strength she has drawn from adversity.
In July, she took part in the ABSA Run Your City race, raising nearly R20 000 for the Durban Coastal SPCA. In September she hosted a Heritage Day Dog Walk event in support of the South African Animal Cancer Association, one of the official charities of Mrs South Africa.
