IF you’re looking for the ultimate cocktail experience in Durban this December, start your festive sipping at Tiger’s Milk Suncoast, recently crowned Best Cocktails in the Best of Durban Readers’ Choice Awards 2025.

With its lively atmosphere, creative mixology, and consistently crowd-pleasing drinks, it’s no surprise locals voted it to the top.

Behind the bar, barman Neo Moeketsi, keeps the good times flowing with three of the venue’s most-loved cocktails: Strawberry Daiquiri – a sweet, icy favourite, Margarita – the timeless classic with a zesty kick, and Crazy Kombucha – a refreshing twist for the adventurous.

Moeketsi even showed us how to craft one of Tiger’s Milk’s standout stars, the Pornstar Martini which is a silky, tropical crowd-pleaser made with vodka, passion fruit purée, vanilla syrup, and cellulose, then finished with a celebratory splash of Méthode Cap Classique (MCC).

According to bar manager Luvuyo Jokozela, the Pornstar Martini is also one of the most-ordered cocktails on the menu, proving its popularity with Durban’s cocktail lovers.

Of course, Tiger’s Milk isn’t the only place worth a festive stop. Rounding out the city’s top three cocktail hotspots are Tipsy Flamingo SA (Kloof) in second place and Harry James Umhlanga in third place.
