Bullet-ridden vehicle abandoned north Durban shopping mall

The driver then immediately jumped into a what appeared to be an e-hailing vehicle and fled.

A VEHICLE ridden with bullet holes was abandoned at a retail centre north of Durban on Tuesday just after 15:00.

Spokesperson for Marshall Security, Tyron Powell, said details are still sketchy at this stage.

“According to information received, the driver came under attack while driving near a taxi rank near the mall. He then drove into the parking lot of the mall and alighted his vehicle,” he said.

The driver then immediately jumped into a what appeared to be an e-hailing vehicle and fled.

“The scene is still active. SAPS has been notified and will arrive to commence with further investigations,” he added.
