“Eyewitnesses stated that an unknown number of suspects, armed with high-calibre rifles, forcibly entered a prominent jewellery store within the shopping centre premises. Unfortunately, the suspects successfully carried out the robbery, escaping with an undisclosed amount of valuable jewellery in an unknown vehicle,” Powell said.

No injuries were reported, however, some of the store’s staff members experienced severe emotional distress during the incident.

The robbery comes just days after a jewellery store in the Pavilion Shopping Centre was robbed by a gang of suspects.
