Women commended for reaching goals at event in Mount Edgecombe

The Achiever of the Year was announced at the forum's Fire and Ice Year End Soiree, held at Mount Edgecombe Country Club recently.

MEMBERS of the Umhlanga Women Achievers certainly live up to the name and are just that – a group of women who come together to build relationships and businesses, support charities and achieve their goals but, more importantly, build each other up.

“Each year, the forum asks its members to submit an entry at its annual ‘Achiever of the Year’ competition, and each year, we receive a wide selection of entrants from phenomenal women which makes the decision to choose a winner difficult,” said the club’s president, Robyn Meloni.

She added that it was more than just a competition but rather an opportunity to reflect on the past year, to measure and acknowledge growth and for everyone to recognise their hard work.

“Ultimately, we are all achievers, and we need to believe this,” she added.

The winner was entrepreneur, author, emcee and motivational speaker, Senta Seele, with Natasha Lee as first runner-up and second runner-up, Debbie Becker.

In her motivation, Seele spoke about her book My Epic Fail Fairytale, which she wrote, self-published and is marketing herself. She also elaborated about her charity work, being speaker at events and a content creator for a few brands and organisations.

“For me, one of the biggest accomplishments is the very personal one of staying true to who I am and my values and my message,” said Seele.
