“The homeowner reported hearing a loud bang before noticing a suspect wearing a black shirt and navy jeans fleeing the property,” explained Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell. “We were dispatched to the scene and surrounding roads in search of the suspect. A short while later, our officers spotted the suspect emerging from the bushes on Chris Hani Road.

“The suspect was apprehended and found in possession of stolen goods. Greenwood Park SAPS were contacted and the suspect led officers to a property on Delville Road, where contact was made with the homeowner, who confirmed that there was a house break-in where the suspect forced entry into his property via a kitchen window. The recovered items were verified as his property.”

Powell encouraged residents and the community to be vigilant and report suspicious activity.
