One arrested after attempted robbery of domestic worker with toddler
The suspect was found with a knife in his possession.
AN armed suspect was arrested on Monday morning (September 29) after he attempted to rob a domestic worker on Gleneagles Drive.
The domestic worker was taking a toddler for a walk when she was accosted by the suspect who was armed with a knife at about 08:00.

“We received a report of the attempted armed robbery via a WhatsApp Crime Alert Group. A witness, who observed the incident unfold, followed the suspect and provided an accurate description and real-time location updates to our armed response officers,” explained Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.
“Within minutes the suspect was apprehended and a knife was recovered on his possession. The domestic worker, employed at a residence on Gleneagles Drive (which is a Marshall Security client), confirmed her intention to press charges against the suspect,” he said.
Powell added the incident was an example of the role of vigilant residents and effective community communication.
