Durban SPCA launches its calendar with celebratory event

The Durban & Coast SPCA launched its 2026 calendar with a star-studded dinner, raising vital funds to support animals in need.

THE Durban & Coast SPCA launched its 2026 calendars last week with a dinner celebrating the owners of pets who graced the A3 calendars.

The event was held at Fabrica in Sunningdale and many of the stars of the calendars were in attendance.

In the lead-up to the 13 winners being announced, the SPCA held a Paws for the Camera calendar competition where judges decided on the best and cutest pets for the various months, as well as the cover page.

Marketing manager for the Durban SPCA, Tanya Fleischer, said she was blown away by the entries.

“Let’s just say I’m glad I didn’t choose any of the winners because it would have been so difficult with so many lovely entries. We even extended our entry period for a week because of the interest.

“The winners were chosen by external judges and all the proceeds raised from the sales of the calendars will go towards the SPCA. The festive season is a busy time for us and the funds raised from the calendar sales will go towards helping animals in need,” she said.

The calendars are available at all the SPCA charity shops and cost R180. If you would like your calendar couriered email Mary on mary@spcadbn.org.za.
