Durban SPCA to host festive market

Durban & Coast SPCA hosts its final market of the year, offering bargains, treats and the chance to meet adoptable pets like Mochi.

THE Durban & Coast SPCA has encouraged the local community to come out and support their last monthly market of the year on Thursday, December 18, from 09:00 to 12:00.

“Our December Market Day will have all our usual stalls. There will be bags, jewellery, toys, interesting bric and brac. We look forward to seeing residents come out on the day,” SPCA spokesperson Tanya Fleischer said. “Come for amazing bargains and stay for a delicious cup of coffee at our cafe.”

This will be the final market of the year for the association.

Fleischer also shared the story of Mochi the cat who is in need of a loving home.

“She was rescued by Nerissa Maharaj who heard a young cat crying in distress, she knew she had to do something to help. She brought her in and she has had her first set of vaccinations and is very keen to go to her new home. She is approximately eight months old and has the most wonderful nature, very cuddly, friendly and gives lots of purrs,” she said.

Adoption fees are R830 which includes vaccination, de-worm, de-flea, sterilisation, microchip, collar and tag.

Mochi’s reference number is 128627.
