SAPS re-enlists detectives

Some of the experienced detectives have already hit the road running from November last year.

IN an effort to bolster the fight against crime 59 detectives have been re-enlisted into the SAPS.

The move was announced by KZN Acting Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Crime Detection, Major General Anthony Gopaul.

Some of those experienced detectives have already hit the road running from November last year.

Gopaul and his management took time to formally reintegrate them into the service in a ceremony last week.

“The people of South Africa deserve justice and that can be achieved when their cases are thoroughly investigated. You have been here before, you know what is expected of you. What I can tell you now is that accountability is non-negotiable, professionalism is a must and no case must go cold under your watch,” Gopaul said.
