Concert hits the right notes (Thursday, March 12)
The KZN Philharmonic’s second and final Summer Season concert takes place in The Playhouse Opera on Thursday March 12, starting at 19:00.
Widely acclaimed Conrad van Alphen takes the podium for the second and closing concert of the season, conducting a repertoire by Fauré, Chopin and Beethoven.

Comedy spills the tea (Friday, March 13 until Sunday, March 15)

SOUTH African drag legend Lilly Slapstilli makes a rare trip to Durbs to perform her new show, For Frock Sake, at the Nutcracker Theatre at Macnut Farm in Assagay for a one weekend run from Friday, March 13, until Sunday, March 15.
The show is a retrospective of all the shenanigans and requests she’s endured over the past 30 years of being a female impersonator comedienne.
The newly created Nutcracker Theatre is an intimate 60-seater theatre, and aims to recreate the nostalgia of the heyday of supper theatre, with a meal complementing the show.

Ladies night brings the laughs (Saturday, March 14)
Comedian Bash With Tash will host a Ladies Night at the iZulu Theatre, Sibaya Casino & Entertainment.
It’s ladies over 21 only for this one – after nationwide sold out shows, this one promises a night of laughter, motivation and great vibes. An international comedian, and a woman who advocates for other women, Tash brings a night of side-splitting comedy to the stage.
The theme is denim and diamonds.
The show starts at 20:00 and tickets are R130 per person.

Enjoy cricket action (Saturday, March 14, Tuesday, March 17 and Sunday, March 22)
The Hollywoodbets Dolphins will bring you a feast of cricketing action with three home games in under 10 days.
The Durban franchise, the defending champs of the One Day Cup competition, will take on the North West Dragons (March 14), the Goldrush Boland (March 17) and then WSB Western Province (March 22), with the first two games starting at 13:00 and the Sunday game beginning at 10:00.

Celebrate with the Irish (Sunday, March 15)
The KZN chapter of the Irish South Africa Association will bring great Irish energy and footstomping vibe to the St Patrick’s Day lunch event at the Mount Edgecombe Country Club on March 15.
Dancers from the Celtic Heartbeat Academy of Irish Dance KZN, Donal McCracken, Dave Monks and Marion Loudon, will entertain guests.
The President of Ireland’s St Patrick’s Day message will be delivered by the Embassy of Ireland’s Trade and Economic Secretary, Cillian Rooney.

From stage to screen (Sunday, March 15)
THE Durban City Orchestra presents the first concert of the year at St Thomas Church (Musgrave Road) on Sunday, March 15.
The concert is a carefully curated glorious bouquet of themes from much loved movies and evergreen musicals.
Among the pieces to be performed include: How to Train your Dragon, Moon River, My Fair Lady, The Godfather, West Side Story, Schindler’s List, Les Mis, Gladiator, James Bond and Pirates of the Caribbean.
